Contrasting Spires
Pencil sketch artist Joe Orsag has captured St Paul's Chapel with the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in this moving sketch. St Paul's is the only pre-Revolutionary building left in New York in continuous use. In this sketch Joe has captured the contrast in the view of the twin towers from the churchyard of St Paul's. It was untouched in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Many people found sanctuary in the chapel and its fence served as a shrine during the days immediately following the attack.
