Essex Fells Railroad Station c 1892
A view of the station as it looked shortly after its opening in 1892, one year after service began to Caldwell. The land was previously owned by Theodore Trotter, a shareholder in the Roseland Railway Company which built the station and railway line. Eventually a new station was built and passenger service continued until 1966 and freight service until 1976. The station was eventually demolished and all traces of the railroad removed.
