In this vintage view we see Memorial Square and Lincoln Highway East in Chambersburg, the county seat of Franklin County, Pennsylvania circa 1924. Chambersburg is located in South Central Pennsylvania just 13 miles north of Maryland and the Mason Dixon Line. Its history includes episodes related to the French and Indian War, the Whiskey Rebellion, John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry, and the Civil War.
