We view Main Street c 1952 in the Borough of Doylestown in Bucks County Pennsylvania in this vintage style art print.. Doylestown's origins date to 1745 and "William Doyle's Tavern". its strategic location at the intersection of the road linking Swede's Ford (Norristown) and Coryell's Ferry (New Hope) and the road linking Philadelphia and Easton - allowed the hamlet to blossom into a village. Doylestown has been the county seat of Bucks County since the early 1800's. The downtown suffered in the mid 20th century but has been recreated and the town is now a regional center of culture and nightlife.
