This print of a pencil sketch shows the famous Barnegat Lighthouse and the Sunset Hotel as they appeared in 1900. By this time Barnegat Light, the town that was built around the lighthouse was a popular tourist destination. The Sunset Hotel, a Victorian wood frame building, was one of two hotels which catered to the tourist trade. It burned down in 1932, but "Old Barney" is still attracting thousands of visitors today.
