Pencil Sketch Artist Joe Orsag brings us a presentation of Ellis Island as it appeared in 1900. His attention to the smallest detail and his historical accuracy gives a true portrayal of how the buildings looked in 1900 On the right is the Immigration Station where all new immigrants passed throught. On the left is the hospital where no one wanted to be sent. All immigrants from 1892 to 1954 passed through these buildings. The Immigration Station has been restored and is open to the public as a museum and wonderful resource for tracing our ancestors.
