Del Duca's General Store was located at the crossroads of Berkeley Heights - the corner Springfield Avenue and Plainfield Avenue. The store is shown here in 1902 Del Ducas kept the inhabitants of Berkeley Heights supplied with household items and had the only telephone in town. A store clerk would take the message and then deliver the important news. It was always important - no one called just to chat.
