Cape May is recognized by the US government as the country's oldest seaside resort, having started hosting vacationers in the mid 1700's. It became increasingly popular and by the 19th century was considered one of Americas finest resorts. It is noted for its beautiful beaches and large number of Victorian era homes. In this pencil sketch artist Joe Orsag has captured the boardwalk as it appeared in the 1920's.
